The Purdue University Online Writing Lab (OWL) is a great resource when citing soruces with MLA style (among others). It not only provides examples in a format and style guide but also gives the theory behind citation styles and why they are used.
Though the citations in the databases are USUALLY correct, they are not error-proof.
Please double check any citations that you receive or copy from a database against the MLA cheat sheet above!
