How to Place a Hold: How to Place a Hold

Step 1: Log In

To log in, input your User ID. 

Your User ID is your student ID number.

Note: Staff and faculty, please contact the library Front Desk at 610-902-8538 to obtain your User ID.

Step 2: My Account

Once you are logged in, click My Account to see your account information, renew materials or place holds

Use the search boxes as you normally would to search for library materials. You will not be asked to log in a second time if you decide to place a hold on an item.

Step 3: Place a Hold

To place a hold on an item that is checked out or on the shelf, use the Place Hold link in the Item Information box. Select your location and click 'OK.' Your hold is now placed. 

Remember: Holds can only be placed on items that are currently checked out or books. You cannot place a hold on a DVD or music CD that is currently available.
