Prepare Your Manuscript for Publication

1 Create your manuscript using a TrueType font

  • Microsoft Sans Serif 10 pt

*Web font. Designed for easy screen readability. Since your readers are likely to view and/or use your dissertation or thesis onscreen, you may wish to improve the readability of your text by using one of these fonts.

3 Embed Fonts in Your Manuscript

Mac users can embed fonts in the manuscript by using the Word from Microsoft 365 subscription available to the Cabrini University community. Contact ITR for help accessing the subscription. (610-902-8366)

4 Identify ProQuest Subject Categories (no more than three) and numeric code

5 Manuscript components to review:

  1. Are there any figures or tables that have been previously published and are copyrighted? ProQuest requires permission to publish.
  2. Are all of the in-text citations in the references?
  3. And the reverse-Are all of the references cited in-text?
  4. Is there an abstract?
  5. Are all of the citations in correct APA format?
  6. Do the URLs in the references lead to the correct document?
