Using Research Databases

Research databases are available by selecting the Sociology and Criminology subject link from the Databases tab on the Library's homepage. Your Cabrini network password is used to access the library's databases remotely. If there are problems connecting to the databases, please contact ITR who administrates network accounts. Criminal Justice Periodical Databases

This comprehensive database includes bibliographic records and full text of the essential journals related to criminal justice and criminology from 500+ journals.

JSTOR is a multidisciplinary archive of scholarly works. It is a good database for researchers of art history, history, literature and religious studies.
Sage Journals Premier This link opens in a new window
Sage Journals provides citations and abstracts for articles across a variety of disciplines; many with full text.
SocINDEX with Full Text This link opens in a new window
This database provides full text access to hundreds of journals, books, and conference papers. Also covers journals in criminology and criminal justice, religion, and social work.
Violence & Abuse Abstracts This link opens in a new window
is a newer database that is useful for locating scholarly journals.
