The web is an important resource.  Some suggested websites include:

  • FindLaw Employee Rights Center
    Information employment law issues including job benefits, fair pay, Family and Medical Leave rights, workplace safety, and protection from discrimination and harassment.
  • National Labor Regulations Board
    The NLRB is a U.S. government agency charged with conducting elections for labor union representation and with investigating and resolving unfair labor practices. The NLRB web site provides information about employee and employer's rights, cases and decisions decided by the Board, Board publications, and general information about NLRB activities.
  • Occupational Projections
    Occupational projection data prepared by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
  • U.S. Department of Labor
    The United States Department of Labor is a department of the U.S. government responsible for "occupational safety, wage and hour standards, unemployment insurance benefits, re-employment services, and some economic statistics."
